Email subscriptions
If you subscribe for new-article notifications, the following is stored:
- your email address
- the date, time and IP address of your signup and confirmation — kept as evidence that you asked to be subscribed (a legal requirement)
That’s the whole list. It is used for one thing: sending you an email when a new article is published here.
Subscription is double opt-in — nothing is sent to you until you click the confirmation link — and every email includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. If you’d like your details deleted entirely rather than just unsubscribed, email [email protected] and it’ll be done.
Subscriber details are stored with Cloudflare (in their Western Europe region) and notification emails are delivered by SMTP2GO, who process your email address for that purpose.
Spam protection
The subscription form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that signups come from people rather than bots. Turnstile may process technical information about your browser and connection to make that decision. See the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum for details.
Hosting
This site is served by Cloudflare, which — like any host — processes technical data such as IP addresses in its server logs as part of delivering and protecting the site.
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
